polls show romney is down in the state by anywhere from 4 to 7 points against the president. so he's not doing great in ohio but he's faring well financially after a trip to los angeles over the weekend. romney brought in $6 million in just one night at a fund-raiser in beverly hills where about 1500 people paid up to $50,000 each to see the candidate speak. ann romney ran into a little trouble when her plane had to make an emergency landing this weekend. she is safe and sound but her husband was naturally a little bit nervous especially because he cannot figure out why airplane windows don't go down. romney told the "los angeles times" that's the biggest problems with a plane in trouble is you can't get anymore oxygen on the plane because the windows do not roll down. obviously one of the many reasons that airplane windows don't open is because at that altitude, there's not enough oxygen to get passengers any air. we're back with more bill after the break. stay with us. we have a big, big hour and the i.q. will go way up. how are you ever going to solve the problem if you don't look

. dagen: thanks nicole. the latest rasmussen poll shows president obama and republican nominee romney essentially in a dead heat. president obama winning by just 1 percentage point as the race enters its final weeks. senior fellow at the american enterprise institute is joining us now from washington, d.c. kevin good to see you. what is the one thing that mr. romney will do to try and push ahead with his economic agenda that he has not been doing and that needs to be doing in previous weeks? >> well, i think that the biggest thing coming up is that governor romney is going to have a chance to speak directly to the american people in the debates and to challenge president obama. you know, one of the untold stories of this campaign for example is that president obama has absolutely no plan to create jobs. that thing they were waving at the convention, his 4 trillion dollars plan was actually just his budget from last year which went -- which went to the floor of the house and senate and got no votes. that kind of conversation is not getting through because of the mainstream media bias.
